HCMC PEOPLE’S COMMITTEE WILL APPROVE THE ADJUSTMENT OF AN PHU – AN KHANH URBAN AREA PLANNING SOON

With the desire to be resettled on the spot, households living in An Phu – An Khanh urban area sent an application to the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City for consideration to approve adjustment of planning so that people can settle down.

Households have been living here for a long time,  in the area of ​​site clearance compensation for Luong Dinh Cua Street. However, in the past 20 years, households cannot build houses, living with poor transportation infrastructure. The reason is that in 1998, the Vietnamese Prime Minister signed a decision on land acquisition and handed over to Housing Development and Trading Company Limited (now Housing Development and Business Joint Stock Company – HDTC) as an investor. Detailed plans scale of 1:2000 and 1:500 have been approved since 1999, so far they are outdated.

Previously, the compensation plan of HDTC was not satisfactory, the placement of resettlement ground for people did not meet expectations. After equitization, HDTC has frequently contacted and persuaded households to hand over the ground to execute the previously approved 1:500 plan.

In early 2017, Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee has a policy to allow the HDTC to adjust the plan and people in this area will likely be resettled on the spot. After the above information, People’s Committee of District 2 and HDTC Company invited households to come to meetings about compensation, assistance and relocation and early handover of the ground to build Luong Dinh Cua street. At the same time, the leadership of District 2 People’s Committee will support HDTC to adjust the plan and the company will soon hand over the site for resettlement on the spot to the people.

Since then, people have trusted, negotiated, agreed with the compensation, assistance relocation and resettlement plan with HDTC to exchange the land they are managing and agree to hand over soon to the City.

According to the residents, the HDTC’s application for a swap of the park planning and on-site resettlement is to protect the rights of households but still ensure compliance with the City’s guidelines. This also creates favorable conditions for businesses in compensation work, while creating a consensus from the people in site clearance.

Wishing to settle down, be resettled on the spot, in the application sent to the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, the leadership of the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, hundreds of households whose land was acquired, were exchanged and arranged by the company. in the position of Luong Dinh Cua park, he proposed “Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee will soon approve the adjustment of An Phu An Khanh urban area planning to stabilize people’s lives”.
